PR.I.TE.
stands for ‘Programa de Intervencion Temprana’
(Program for Early Intervention). This program is for all
those children who are born physically or pyschologically
disabled often due to lack of vitamins during pregnancy or
because the mother had suffered from some kind of shock or
ill-treatment before giving birth. |

Here
children with Downs' Syndrome and others who are slightly
mentally-retarded are also welcome for treatment. The program
includes speech therapy, physiotherapy and psychological therapy.

The
children attending this program vary from newborn babies up
to five year olds. These children are attended to by professional
staff who gives them all the support necessary in order to
aid these children to integrate with others at school and
not fall behind in their studies. |
